Privacy policy
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Kristina Horanska. For any privacy questions or requests, contact me at horanskakristina@gmail.com.
2. What information I collect
Information you give me directly:
Your name, email address, and social media handle (e.g. when you apply for the mentorship, book a call, or message me).
The answers you provide in application or contact forms, including personal reflections you choose to share.
Payment information when you purchase a service (processed securely by my payment provider — I do not store your full card details).
Any other information you choose to share with me during our work together.
Information collected automatically:
Cookies and similar technologies, and basic analytics such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location. See my Cookie Policy for details.
Information from third parties:
If you interact with me through social media or subscribe to my newsletter, I may receive limited information from those platforms in line with their policies.
3. How I use your information
To provide my services (mentorship, calls, workshops, community) and communicate with you about them.
To review applications and assess fit.
To process payments and keep necessary records.
To send you emails or newsletters you've signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time).
To operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
To comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases (for visitors in the EU/UK)
Where the GDPR applies, I rely on these legal bases:
Contract — to deliver the services you've requested.
Consent — for marketing emails and non-essential cookies (you can withdraw consent anytime).
Legitimate interests — to run and improve my business and Site, in a way that respects your rights.
Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.
5. Who I share your information with
I do not sell your personal data. I share it only with trusted service providers who help me run my business, who process it on my behalf under their own privacy terms. These may include:
Squarespace — website hosting, forms, and commerce.
Stripe — secure payment processing.
Google (Workspace) — email, documents, forms, video calls, and scheduling.
Substack — newsletter and email delivery.
I may also disclose information if required by law.
6. International transfers
Some of these providers are based outside your country (for example, in the United States). Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the providers' standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures.
7. How long I keep your data
I keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, for the duration of our working relationship and a reasonable period afterwards, or as required by law (e.g. financial records). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to its use; receive a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email me at [your contact email]. If you're in the EU/UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
My Site and services are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under [16/18]. If you believe a minor has provided me data, please contact me and I will delete it.
10. Security
I take reasonable measures to protect your information and work only with reputable providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above will reflect any changes, and significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
12. Contact
